The Butterfly/Press Back training device enables two highly effective functional exercise variations for strengthening the upper body muscles.
The butterfly movement specifically activates the chest muscles (pectoralis major) and the front shoulder muscles (deltoid pars clavicularis). These muscle groups play an important role in the adduction, abduction, and internal rotation of the extended arm, thereby contributing to dynamic shoulder joint stabilization.
The press-back exercise uses the device as a stabilizing training platform to activate the pectoralis in combination with the arm muscles. At the same time, the middle part of the shoulder blade muscles (especially the rhomboid and trapezius pars transversa) are specifically targeted – essential for posture control and scapular stability.
